On May 2nd, 2005, the community
project, Playtopia, began and the
Masons were there! Posey County
Masons, spearheaded by Arctic
Lodge #394, took their place on
May 3rd helping in the construction
of this enormous playground for
children which was years in the
planning. From the handling of various pieces of equipment to digging and filling holes Masons worked hard for their community.
On May 8, 2005, Playtopia went
from planning to dedication thanks
to all of the men, women, and
children who worked to make it possible. A hardy thank you goes
out from Arctic Lodge to all of the worthy brothers who gave of their
time and talent that May day.

Kunstfest 2005

.

On September 17 and 18, 2005, the
Masons from Arctic Lodge #394 set
up the food trailer and INCHIP tent in front of the theater on Main Street
in New Harmony for the Kunstfest.
Parents brought 35 children to the
INCHIP tent the 4 hours it was open
on those two days. It was our first
attempt to do the Children ID program which the DeMolay arm of Masonry provides.
In addition we had one of the DeMolay boys manning the camera all afternoon on the 17th. Our food trailer served ribeye steak sandwiches once again this year along with curly fries
and drinks. Many of our members participated in this years effort.

Deputy Sheriff Jim McDurmon handled
the fingerprinting both days. WM Irvin Reynolds operated the camera; his wife
took care of paperwork and interviewing; and Bro Don Shoaff weighed and
measured the children.
